As I continue to troll through website looking for decent resources for building a website, occasionally I will find something really great.  Recently I found a site called “Six Revisions” which is full of great ideas!

Six Revisions has links to templates, articles on improving usability, stock photo and graphic ideas and a variety of options for tutorials.  Check out this site for new ideas on a regular basis on a variety of topics.

Webmonkey is another impressive resource for web designers and web developers.  Webmonkey has links to a long list of tutorials, a list of web-friendly colors with their respective hexadecimal colors, and code snippets to copy.

Website templates are a dime a dozen these days.  With multiple content management systems (CMS) available, it is easy to find templates built specifically for your CMS.  It is important to remember that templates should be used as a springboard for your website, but try not to let them become restrictive.    With a bit of HMML and CSS knowledge, you can easily customize your template.  Learn a bit about Javascript and suddenly the template is just a springboard for your creativity.
